Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce the 2016/2017 National Championships host cities.

Unlike 2015, which was a year that the Volleyball Canada Championship was held in one city with 10,000 participants, the next two years will see the youth tournaments in various locations across the country.  All host cities went through a bidding process and were chosen for meeting the criteria set out by Volleyball Canada.
“We were very happy with the quality of bids for the upcoming Championships,” said Volleyball Canada’s Director of Domestic Competition, Chrissy Benz. “The goal of the National Championships Committee was to increase capacity for participation allowing more teams to compete, as well as having more host sites to decrease the travel time and cost for teams.”
Details on registration and other information will be released in the coming months. The “Stay to Play” policy will be in effect for all events, so all hotel bookings will need to be completed through each event’s hotel provider(s).
“I would like to thank all the local organizing committees for the work that went into their bids,” said Benz. “We’re looking forward to working together to make the next two years exciting for the participants, organizers and spectators.”

A "Stay to Play" policy will be in effect for all national championships. Participating teams are required to book hotel rooms through their event’s housing provider in order to play the tournament. Booking for each event will open in conjunction with the registration for that specific event (see chart above). A list of hotels in each host city is available on its respective event website. You can also find more information on the Stay to Play policy including a detailed outline of the policy, links to the live booking portals for when they open and the exemption request form.
