Canadian Roster Announced for Women’s Pan Am Cup

Ottawa, ON – Volleyball Canada announces the roster for the Women’s Pan Am Cup. The team of 12 will travel to Mexico City to compete in the 13th instalment of the tournament which runs from June 11th to 19th. The tournament will consist of 12 teams from the NORCECA division split into two groups.

Group A will feature a rematch of the gold medal game from the World Championship Qualification in Mississauga in May. Mexico will have a chance for redemption when they play Canada on the fourth day of round robin play. The rest of group A includes Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, Dominican Republic, and Cuba.

Group B will be just as exciting as it includes the top two internationally ranked teams. Brazil and the USA will meet on the final day of round robin action. Columbia, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Puerto Rico make up the remainder of group B.

 

Canada’s round robin matches are as follows:

June 11 - Canada vs. Peru

June 12 - Canada vs. Trinidad & Tobago

June 13 - Canada vs. Cuba

June 14 - Canada vs. Mexico

June 15 - Canada vs. Dominican Republic
