SandJamHalifax to host the Canadian National Team Beach Volleyball Championships
SandJam Halifax, the summer's premier sports and entertainment experience, is returning to the Halifax Waterfront this Labour Day weekend. From Friday, August 29to Sunday August, 31, Halifax will host the Canadian National Team Beach Volleyball Championships, featuring the top eight male and top eight female Canadian beach volleyball teams, many of whom compete on the FIVB International circuit. We invite you to come down to our temporary stadium on the edge of the harbour and be entertained by these impressive athletes while enjoying the last of the summer sun.

Sports & Entertainment Atlantic (S|E|A) will once again transform the Salter parking lot on the Halifax waterfront into a temporary stadium complete with two Olympic sized beach volleyball courts, stadium seating, concert stage and food & beverage offerings. Thanks to our great partners, we have been able to reduce ticket prices by up to 25% compared to 2013 and we have introduced youth (12 & under) and senior (60+) pricing that offers additional discounts. A morning or afternoon session for SandJam will include 4 games and cost $15.65 for Adults, $13.04 for seniors and $7.83 for youth (all prices are + HST).Full Day (morning and afternoon sessions) and Full Tournament passes are also available. The Canadian National Team Beach Volleyball Championship tournament will begin on Friday, August 29 with round robin games the morning session from 10am-2pm and then again for the afternoon session from 3pm-7pm. The round robin portion will continue at the Saturday morning session from 10am-2pm with quarter finals from 3pm-7pm Saturday afternoon. The Sunday morning session from 10am-2pm will feature the semi-finals in both the male and female divisions with the consolation and finals occurring between 3pm-7pm that afternoon. The SandJam concert presented by Live 105 will take place on the Salter lot following the afternoon session on Saturday, August 30.
SandJam and the Halifax Sports and Social Club will also once again host the biggest recreational tournament in Nova Scotia on Saturday, August 23rd at the Volleyball Nova Scotia Beach Volleyball Park in Dartmouth. Co-ed teams of four or six will have the chance to be the kings and queens of the beach. More details coming soon on how to register your team.
