"Ottawa is a centre of activity this year, with Canada’s 150th celebrations, and we are excited to contribute to the diversity of events by hosting the Beach Nationals for the first time in the city" - Stephane Maxwell of Max Volley, host of this year’s event.

Max Volley operates 57 beach volleyball courts at three locations in the Ottawa area, including Shefford Park, where the Volleyball Canada event will be contested on 31 courts.

For the senior Nationals, the Canor Sand Centre in North Bay, Ontario, is no stranger to beach events, as it has become a hotbed for provincial, national and continental (NORCECA) tournaments over the last few years.

"Vision Sports and Entertainment is proud to once again partner with Volleyball Canada to host the 2017 Senior Beach Nationals in North Bay at the Canor Sand Centre. This event serves as the culmination of our beach volleyball season as some of Canada’s top players descend on North Bay to showcase their skills. We look forward to welcoming the players, coaches, officials and their families in August," said Amedeo Bernardi, President Board of Directors, Vision Sports and Entertainment, which also hosted the successful men’s Olympic trial match at the same venue last summer.

At the senior tournament, Volleyball Canada’s national beach program coaching staff will be on site to take in the action and connect with athletes. Each event will also be a showcase for vendors and Volleyball Canada’s partners.
