World League tickets go on sale

 OTTAWA – Tickets for Canada’s home matches in men’s World League volleyball are now on sale  on Réseau Billetech for the Quebec City matches May 31 and June 1 and on Ticketmaster for the Mississauga matches June 7-8 and June 14-15.

The Canadians returned to World League play last season for the first time in five years and automatically qualified for 2013 finishing 12th overall with three wins and nine losses. The highlight for Canada was its victory over world number-one Brazil in the opening round in Toronto before more than 8,000 fans. Canada also beat Finland twice in tournament play.

Portugal (36th in the world), Japan (19th in the world), Canada (18th in the world), South Korea (24th in the world) in pool C with Finland (30th in the world) and the Netherlands (36th in the world).

 

Six teams will qualify for the World League Finals in Argentina featuring the top two teams from Pools A and B, plus the winner of Pool C and the host country.
