Volleyball Canada announces hosts of the 2012 Beach National Championships

Volleyball Canada is proud to announce that Vancouver and Quebec City will be host to the 2012 Beach Volleyball National Championships on August 17-19, 2012!

Volleyball BC has been chosen to host the Youth Beach National Championships at Spanish Banks in Vancouver, BC. The best youth teams in the country will face off in the 14 and under, 16 and under, 18 and under and 21 and under divisions on 45 courts. Former Junior World Champions Garrett May, Sam Schachter and current silver medalists Victoria Altomare and Melissa Humana-Peredes all competed at this event before taking over the Junior World stage!

You can see these now senior players compete in Quebec City against reigning senior champions Ben Saxton and Christian Redmann and Julie Rodrigue and Kacie MacTavish on the site of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour – Quebec Open Jeep that will take place the weekend after Beach Nationals. The Senior Division 2 Beach Nationals will be hosted a few minutes away at the Club V-Bex.

The 2012 Youth and Senior Beach Volleyball National Championships will kick off an exciting end of season of Canadian beach volleyball in Vancouver and Quebec City on August 17-19. Canada will then welcome the best senior teams from around the world in Quebec City at the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour – Quebec Open Jeep 2012 from August 21-26. The journey will end in Halifax, NS from August 29-September 2 where young Canadian teams will vie for a place on the podium for the 3rd straight year at the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch Junior World Championships.
