Training Centre - Gatineau

Men’s National Teams are set to train for the next four years at the brand new Centre Sportif in Gatineau, Québec, slated to open Spring 2010. The centre offers over 18, 000 square meters of recreational space and has been designed with sustainability in mind. Up to 80% of the building’s heating and air conditioning requirements are to be met with over ninety geothermal wells. These provisions along with extensive heat recovery systems and a vegetative roof to reduce heat indoors during the summer will result in an over 50% energy savings.

The gymnasium features a centre court and may accommodate up to 3 volleyball courts at once. The floor is made of Taraflex material and the ceiling clearance is 9.5 meters. The Men’s National Team office is loacted within the building, as well as its treatment centre. The facility accommodates up to one thousands fans; 500 in permanent seats and 500 in movable stands.
