Sitting Volleyball Programming in Canada
Volleyball Canada has partnered with various organizations in the delivery of sitting volleyball development programs across the country. These programs are vital to the success and growth of the sport in the country.
Some programs are VC-driven, while others are mainly driven by partners with varying levels of support from VC.
Volleyball Canada Programs
First Contact Program - Supported by the Canadian Paralympic Committee
This program is designed to provide sitting volleyball education to club coaches across the country. National Team coaches travel to communities across the country to train club coaches in the delivery of sitting volleyball programming, from First Contact through to Training to Compete stages of LTAD.

Sitting Volleyball Equipment Loan-to-Own program
This program is designed to assist organizations get started with sitting volleyball programming. Organizations interested in applying are invited to do so.
Applicants must provide a description of the sitting volleyball programming they plan to pursue, and upon acceptance to the program will be granted the use of one set of SA Sport sitting volleyball posts, net, and antennae/sleeves for one year. After the year, upon a successful program evaluation conducted by VC, the net system will be donated to the participating organization.

Partner Programs
Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) Programs
The CPC runs several programs each year that are available to national, provincial and local organizations wishing to move forward with adapted spotr programming.
The First Contact Fund provides grants of $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 to organizations who demonstrate via an application process their wish to run programing that fits within the First Contact stage of LTAD.
The Paralympic Equipment Fund is a funding program that provides assistants to organization in their purchase of equipment for adapted sports. It is a matching program - that is, the fund will cover half of the overall equipment cost. There is an upper contribution limit of $5,000.
