Sitting Volleyball on Canada Day in the Capital!

Volleyball Canada and the Canadian Paralympic Committee will be presenting the sport of Sitting Volleyball in Ottawa at Major's Hill Park on Canada Day.

From 10 am to 6pm, all Canada Day revelers are invited to sit down on the grass and try out sitting volleyball - a fast and dynamic form of volleyball that is very new to Canada.

Twice throughout the day athletes from Ottawa Fusion and Ottawa Mavericks Volleyball Clubs will be offering a sitting volleyball demonstration.

Womens' National Team members Chantal Beauchesne and Karen McCoy will be present all day at the event, and will be available to sign autographs and to provide coaching to the players!

The activity is a part of the CPC's Paralympic Showcase! at the Slam Dunk URBN ZONE.

Major's Hill Park is located behind the Chateau Laurier in downtown Ottawa.

See http://www.paralympic.ca/canadaday for more information about this and other related activities.

See you there!
