TEAM CANADA YOUTH
2015 TEAM CANADA YOUTH & JUNIOR WOMEN
The NTCC program, for the first time, will combine two age groups of the elite/provincial team programs in one venue over six days. Hosted at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond BC, from July 15-19, 2015*, the elite championship will bring together the best athletes and coaches representing their province/territory and culminate in a national elite championship.
From the championship, the top athletes will be identified and selected to represent Canada as part of the Youth and Junior National team program. The Youth (17/16U) and Junior (18U) Team Canada Program provides an environment of excellence in Canada to expose identified athletes to international level of education, training and competition early in their career.
“Talent identification and development is very important to the future of our National Team programs,” said Arnd Ludwig, Volleyball Canada women’s head coach. “I’m happy to see this new approach. I’m looking forward to an expanded elite championship.”
