U19 & U18 Identification and Selection Camp

Objective

Targeted
Athletes

Identify and select athletes who will have an immediate as well as long-term impact on the Beach Volleyball National Team and are willing to re-locate to the Fulltime Training Centre in Toronto. The groups of targeted athletes for this camp are:

BORN 1994 OR EARLIER

TALL MAPLES & FTC STATUS
Athletes without any experience in high performance sport, but who meet the following body height criteria (women exceeding 183 cm (6’0” ft.) body height; Men exceeding 195 cm (6’5”) body height)

TALENT TRANSFERS & FTC STATUS
Athletes from high performance indoor volleyball or are transferring from high performance programs of other sports

 FTC STATUS
Non-Ontario athletes with beach volleyball experience seeking to be Volleyball Canada identified. Ontario athletes also interested in the Beach Provincial Team please (only) register for concurrent Beach Provincial Team Selection camp found on the OVA website. 

*Please note, the FIVB U19 World Championship Selection Tournament & Camp will be held at the same time and location as the Fulltime Training Centre Identification & Selection Camp. FIVB U19 World Championships candidates can be identified and selected for the Fulltime Training Centre by participating in the U19 World Championships Selection Tournament.

    Costs

 
Registration fee: $70 plus tax per athlete 
Late registration fee: $80 plus tax per athlete

 Please note that each athlete will be responsible for your own accommodation, meals and transportation costs to and from Toronto as well as transportation coast while in Toronto
*$25 of registration fee is non-refundable*

Personal Coaches

Provincial Team Coaches and Personal Coaches are welcome to attend and to support the National Team Coaches.

Injuries

 
Should an injury prevent you from attending or adversely affect you at camp, please notify us of your status immediately. Athletes attending the camp are expected to be physically and mentally prepared for both physical testing and on-court training.
