Registration

Athletes can register for either the FISU World University Championships Selection Tournament or FISU World University Championships Selection Camp.

*Please note that each team member must register separately for the Tournament. if you do not have a partner please register for the FISU World University Championships Selection Camp

Registration Deadline

 Wednesday April 18^th, Noon EST 

Late Registration: Wednesday April 25, Noon EST

*Please note that late entry will be accepted if spots remain open. Entry will be granted according to the 2011 Volleyball Canada National Ranking. If  the tournament field is full then each individual/team can participate in the FISU World University Championships Selection Camp portion

Team Nomination CAN 1

Athletes participating in either the of FISU World University Championships Selection Camp or of FISU World University Championships Selection Tournament can be nominated as CANADA 1 at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships held in Maceio, Brazil from September 12-16, 2012. Athletes can register for the FISU World University Championships Selection Camp as individual athletes.

 The winning team of each gender of FISU World University Championships Selection Tournament will be nominated as CANADA 2 at the World University Beach Volleyball Championship held in Maceio, Brazil from September 12-16, 2012

*Please note in the past Canada has been granted two team per gender.

Eligibility

Only the following may participate as a competitor in the FISU Games Selection Tournament as well as in the 2012 World University Beach Volleyball Championship

A) Students who are currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at the university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country;
B) Former student of the institutions mentioned in a) who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event.
All competitors must satisfy the following conditions:
C) Be a national of the country they represent
D) Be at least 17 and less than 28 years of age on January 1st in the year of the event.

Team / Individuals

 Athletes participating in the FISU World University Championships Selection Tournament should indicate their partner.

If an athlete does not have a partner, he/she can participate in the FISU World University Championships Selection Camp (Same Weekend May 4-6) and can be evaluated for CAN 1 nomination.

          Costs

 Registration fee: $70 plus tax per athlete 
Late registration fee: $80 plus tax per athlete

Please note that each athlete will be responsible for your own accommodation, meals and transportation costs to and from Toronto as well as transportation cost while in Toronto
*$25 of registration fee is non-refundable*

Injuries

 Should an injury prevent you from attending or adversely affect you at camp and tournament, please notify us of your status immediately. Athletes attending the camp are expected to be physically and mentally prepared for both physical testing and on-court training.
