Frequently Asked Questions
1) Where is the auction held?
The Fundraising Auction is physically held at the Shops of Winnipeg Square, 360 Main Street (Winnipeg, Canada), and also online via eBay, where items can be viewed and bids can be placed. Click here to access the eBay Auction page.
2) How long is the auction?
The Auction will commence Tuesday, March 16th, 2010, and will end on Sunday, March 21th, 2010. Please follow your item on eBay for the exact closing time.
3) What type of auction is it?
The Auction is run in “Silent Auction” format where viewable bids are placed on items throughout the week, and the highest bid at the close of the auction wins the item for that specific bid price.
4) How do you register and bid?
Interested bidders must sign up for an eBay account at no charge (click here to register now). Bidders must then access the eBay Auction Page, and select the item they wish to bid on. Unlike in previous years, bidders will not be able to bid by phone or simply in person, however computer terminals will be set up in the Shops of Winnipeg Square for your convenience. All payments made on eBay must be made through PayPal. Click here to register for PayPal now!
5) How will you be notified if you win?
If you are the winner of an auction item or package, eBay will notify you that you are the winner of the item.
6) When will you be notified if you win?
If you are the winner of an item, you will be contacted immediately following the auction on Friday, March 19th.
7) How will auction items be shipped to the winners?
Winners will have their item(s) sent to them via Canada Post, and have the shipping price charged to their PayPal account.
If possible, winners can come pick up their items in Gatineau or Winnipeg, depending on the origin of the item.
Winners from the Winnipeg area are encouraged to pick up their packages at:

9) Privacy Concerns?
Winners will not have their names published on our website. For more information on eBay's privacy policy, click here.
10) Who will benefit from the funds raised at the auction?
100% of the funds raised from the auction will go to our National Volleyball Teams through Volleyball Canada. These funds will help assist with the 2010 season including: training costs, equipment, travel and competition costs for all of our National Teams and their various international tournaments.
Volleyball Canada is a registered charitable organization.
