Canadians searching for first win at women’s Pan Am

 CIUDAD JUÁREZ, México (July 13, 2012) – Canada lost 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21 to the Dominican Republic on Friday in round robin play at the 12-country Pan Am Cup women’s volleyball tournament.

With the loss the Canadians drop to 0-2. 

Lisa Barclay of Brandon, Man., led the Canadian offence with 15 points which included two blocks and two service aces.  Brittney Page of Vernon, B.C., added 12 while Jaimie Thibeault of Sylvan Lake, Alta., and Rebecca Pavan of Kitchener, Ont., added 11 apiece.

Canada faces Colombia on Saturday.
