Canadian women’s national volleyball team in Costa Rica for one-week camp

WINNIPEG – Eight members from Canada’s national women’s volleyball team training centre left Sunday evening for a one-week camp in San Jose, Costa Rica to tune up for next month’s national team selection trials.

The players heading south are: Nadine Alphonse and Marie-Pier Murray Methot, both of Montreal, Kelci French and Claire Hanna, both of Calgary, Beth Clark of Regina, Tricia Mayba of Winnipeg, Carla Bradstock of Richmond, B.C., and Janie Guimond of Bécancour, Que.

National team head coach Arnd Ludwig will lead the group with assistant coach Scott Koskie, strength and conditioning trainer Adam Toffan and athletic therapist Julie Dacquay.

 

Canada and Costa Rica will be training together throughout the week and matches are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
