Canada to return to World League in 2013
TAMPERE, Finland (June 17, 2012) – Canada defeated Finland 21-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 in a 2012 FIVB World League men’s volleyball showdown which not only decided third spot on Group B but also which country would get a ticket to the 2013 World League tournament.The Canadians, who returned this year to the 16-country World League for the first time in five years, finished with a 3-9 record for third spot and a 2013 World League berth.
"We didn't win as many matches in this year's World League as we wanted but third place is satisfying for now,’’ said Canadian team captain Fred Winters of Victoria.
