Canada Loses Close Battle Against Argentina

WINNIPEG – In the third of four matches against Argentina, Canada fell to the visiting Argentina team in a hard-fought five games with the scores of 18-25, 28-26, 18-25, 25-18 and 18-16 in the Investors Group Athletic Centre.

For Canada both Brittney Page (Vernon, BC) and Elizabeth Cordonier (Vancouver, BC) both had 12 kills.

On the Argentina side team captain Georgina Pinedo contributed 17 and Daniela Gildenberger helped with 15.

The match was the third of three games in Winnipeg, and one in Brandon, as both teams prepare for the Pan Am Cup taking place early July in Mexico.
