Canada- Cuba men's volleyball series starts tonight in Mississauga

OTTAWA - With over 200 countries vying for one of the 12 spots in the 2012 Olympic Tournament, the road to London begins now for Team Canada Men's Volleyball.  The World Championships are taking place this Fall, and Canada is tuning up with an exhibition series against one of the world's volleyball powers, Cuba.  The matches will take place August 24th in MississaugaAugust 26th in Ottawa and August 28th in Quebec City.

The exhibition series serve as preparation for both teams for the 2010 World Championship being held in Italy in September, which serves an an entry point for the 2012 Olympic Games via qualifications for the World Cup.

Cuba, currently ranked in the world's top 10, is the current NORCECA Champion and finished 2nd at the 2009 FIVB Men's Grand Champions Cup in Japan.
