Canada to compete at NORCECA Championships


LANGLEY, B.C. (July 2, 2013) - Teams from the North America, Central America and Caribbean regions of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) will compete in the NORCECA Continental Championships at The Langley Events Centre Sept 23rd -28th, 2013.

Among the top men’s teams in the tournament are the United States (#5 FIVB, #1 NORCECA), Cuba (#6, #2) Canada (#18, #3), Puerto Rico (#20, #4), Mexico (#23, #5) Dominican Republic (#41, #6). 

Every 2 years the NORCECA Volleyball Confederation celebrates its Continental Senior Championship, and 2013 offers the next opportunity for our men’s team to compete for Continental supremacy. The NORCECA Volleyball Federation is the FIVB Continental Zone to which Canada belongs, and includes countries from North and Central America, and the Caribbean. 

The 2013 NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship gold-medal team qualifies for the 2013 FIVB Grand Champions Cup to be played November 19-24 in Japan.
