Calling all athletes aged 15-35: Last chance to win an Apple iPod!

Earlier this year an advertisement was posted regarding the Pathways to the Podium Research Project - a multi-sport, multi-national investigation of development of sport expertise being conducted by Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, York University, Toronto, Canada, and the Australian Institute of Sport. This is a reminder regarding the research, as the Pathways to the Podium Research Project will be closing on June 30 2011.

The Pathways to the Podium Research Project aims to gain an understanding of the patterns of sport participation, practice, and competition that lead to elite sports performance. Most importantly, we are interested in how the sporting experiences of elite athletes differ from those of lesser skilled athletes. The information obtained from this research will be used to provide recommendations relating to the conditions of sport participation and practice that appear to be optimal for the development of sport expertise.

All athletes aged 15-35 are encouraged to complete an online questionnaire relating to your involvement in your main sport, other organised sports, and physical activity. By taking part you will have the chance to win an Apple iPod or one of 3 x $50 gift vouchers for the Apple Store or Amazon.com.

For more information about the project, to read about the benefits of participation, and to register your interest in becoming involved, please visit the Pathways to the Podium website athttp://www.yorku.ca/podium or contact the research team at podium@yorku.ca.
