Brazil and Argentina win matches at U23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup

 LANGLEY, B.C. (September 26, 2012) – Brazil and Argentina won its respective matches on Wednesday night at the U23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup being held this week at the Langley Events Centre.

Canada, represented by Trinity Western University, had the day off after a comeback five-set win over Mexico on Tuesday in its opening tournament match.

On Wednesday, Brazil played its first match of the tournament and defeated the Dominican Republic 25-20, 25-20, 25-13.  Argentina meanwhile swept Mexico 25-16, 25-23, 25-11.  The Argentineans are first in the standings with two wins and no losses, Brazil and Canada follow at 1-0 while Mexico and the Dominican Republic at 0-2.

On Thursday, Trinity Western faces the Dominican Republic at 8 p.m. The early match at 6 p.m. pits Brazil against Argentina.
