60 straight regular season wins for Université Laval’s men’s volleyball team

QUEBEC CITY The Université Laval Rouge et Or is best know for its football program but the men’s volleyball team has a lot to brag about as well these days.

On Saturday night, the Rouge et Or collected a 60th straight victory on the volleyball court in the Quebec Conference with a convincing 25-17, 25-15, 25-13 win over the Université de Montréal Carabins. Laval won despite injury to three players.

The streaks includes regular season games in league and interconference play and league playoff games.

‘’Our focus is on the quality of our play,’’ said Laval’s head coach Pascal Clément to Le Soleil newspaper. ‘’Our guys are concentrating on their service, reception and strategy.’’
