A New Direction for Volleyball Canada

Volleyball Canada brought together its Board of Directors, Chairs of key committees and select staff for a strategic planning retreat in February 2009.The purpose of the retreat was to review Volleyball Canada’s existing Strategic Plan document, ‘Game Plan 2012’ (created in 2004 and 2005) in order to establish priorities and strategic goals for the current quadrennial.

The group came to a consensus that a new direction needed to be implemented for the current quadrennial. After a review of the first four years of the Strategic Plan, and taking into consideration the changing sport environment, the group felt that VC had to update its critical path. As stated by John-Paul Cody-Cox, CEO of Volleyball Canada, “with this revised strategic plan, I am confident that VC has a strong foundation to move forward. We are on the right track and dedicated to be leader in the Canadian volleyball community, inspire athletes to play and perform, and be financially responsible.”
